Above and Beyond 2023

We held our Above and Beyond 2023 event on 14th January at Sule Shangri-la Hotel. At the event, our Star Achiever Club members shared their challenges as well as achievements of the previous year. At the event, our Daiichi Life’s Financial Planners and Business Partners set this year’s New Year Resolutions with Kakizome – The First Writing of A Year, a Japanese tradition for the first calligraphy written at the beginning of a year by using an ink brush. We, Daiichi Life Myanmar, encourage and motivate our financial planners and business partners. This time, we believe we have empowered and inspired them to move forwards to 2023.
LEGO Engineering Course at Child Development Centre Dream Train

As our commitment to the community, we supported young generations to develop in technology as career improvement opportunities. We provided financial support for the young people from primary to secondary level to learn 6 weeks program of basic and advanced programming courses(LEGO Engineering Course) at the Dream Train Child Development Center, a part of the Japan Heart organization.
Movember Campaign

In November, not only our male colleagues at Daiichi Life Myanmar participated in the Movember campaign by growing their mustaches for the entire month, but also our female colleagues actively took part in the campaign to raise awareness of mental issues and two common silent cancers: prostate cancer and testicular cancer. On social media, we also shared how we can prevent suicide cases and what support we need to provide for men. In line with the People First philosophy, we at Daiichi Life Myanmar have been supporting a better lifestyle and achieving a healthy and peaceful future. We occasionally organise health-related talks, campaigns, and knowledge-sharing sessions to show our CARE to the people of Myanmar.
Be Bold_Strong Finish

We congratulated our Business Partners, Associate Business Partners, and Qualifiers of the Star Achiever Club for their achievements in the “Be Bold_Strong Finish” event at the Chatrium Hotel on 21st October 2022.The event was to recognize them for their dedication and commitment shown to our customers and Dai-ichi Life. At the event, Ms. Sophanytil Thorn from Dai-ichi Life Cambodia shared her life insurance experiences along her career journey.
Breast Cancer Awareness Sessions

True to the People First philosophy, Daiichi Life participated in the campaign with a series of breast cancer awareness sessions and spread the awareness and the impact of breast cancer with the hashtag #MyBodyDeservesCare on social media. There were total of eight awareness sessions with more than 300 customers, partners, and employees. Breast Cancer Awareness Month began in 1985 as a partnership between the American Cancer Society and the Imperial Chemical Industries. In October, many organizations and corporates globally run breast cancer awareness campaigns to raise awareness of the cancer.
120 Years Anniversary Tree-Planting Activities

In celebration of Daiichi Life Group’s 120Years Anniversary, our Daiichi Life Myanmar team planted a total of 120 plants together with our financial planners, business partners, and the children at the Myanmar Agape Orphanage in Hmawbi township. True to our People First philosophy, we are committed to supporting the well-being of the people of Myanmar. Additionally, in line with our Group’s commitment to protecting the global environment as well, we will continue to do more environmental initiatives for better futures.

Strategic Partnership between Myanmar Oriental Bank and Daiichi Life Myanmar

Donation of Masks and Medicines

Last year, we donated 20,000 USD to Japan Heart, a non-profit organization, where part of the donation has been channeled to the Southern Shan State to provide quality healthcare services for the local community as well. This contribution has also aided the career improvement in IT Technology for the children at the Dream Train Child Development Center. We also donated 20,000 3-ply surgical masks boxes to Japan Heart. With our philosophy in mind, we keep our People – our customers, partners, employees, and the community – at the heart of everything we do as we strive to help build a better social community and a peace of mind for their futures.
Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow (Business Opportunity Seminar)

We successfully held the Business Opportunity seminar, “Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow” for those who want to make a business of their own in the Life Insurance industry last 11 June at Novotel Yangon Max Hotel. At the seminar, our successful business partners conversed on the importance of life insurance and shared their experiences on how they strived to overcome obstacles and as a result, attained remarkable achievements within the life insurance sector. On top of this, our agency leaders discussed about the life insurance industry and explored the business opportunities that available, noting that Life Insurance business is a noble business that aims for the peace of mind for the customers by securing a better future for them.
